What is a C-Reach Smart Bridge?
C-Reach Smart Bridge is a hub that enables voice control (when paired with a voice assistant) and out-of-home control and configuration for your Cync or C by GE Bluetooth Lights.
NOTE: If you have a Cync/C by GE Wi-Fi device like our Smart Plugs, Wired Switches or Direct Connect Lights, you do not need a C-Reach to enable out-of-home control or Alexa and Google control. 
Does C-Reach work with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands?

C-Reach only works with 2.4 GHz but is compatible with most networks that combine 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands into a single network.

What are the dimensions of the C-Reach?

3 x 2 x .75 inches

What voice assistants are compatible with the C-Reach?

All first-party Google Voice Assistants, Amazon Alexa devices and Apple HomeKit.

Note: Apple HomeKit is only available for C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights. 

Can I connect my Cync or C by GE smart lights to my voice assistant without a C-Reach?

Yes, you can connect all Cync/C by GE Wi-Fi devices to Alexa and Google without a C-Reach. However, if you are only using Cync/C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights, then a C-Reach or a Cync/C by GE Wi-Fi device is required. 

If you are using HomeKit and Cync/C by GE Bluetooth Lights, a C-Reach is required. 

Does the C-Reach work with all Cync and C by GE devices?

The C-Reach works with Cync or C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights. 

NOTE: If you have a Cync/C by GE Wi-Fi device like our Smart Plugs, Wired Switches or Direct Connect Lights, you do not need a C-Reach to enable out-of-home control or Alexa and Google control. 

Is the C-Reach compatible with other smart bulb brands?

No, the C-Reach is only compatible with C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights.

How many Cync/C by GE devices can I connect to my C-Reach?

32 C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights. 

How do I delete the C-Reach from the Cync app?
To delete the C-Reach, you must delete the App Location in which the C-Reach is installed.

IMPORTANT: Before you delete the C-Reach, any other devices that were associated with this Location will need to be deleted from the Location and added back into the app in a new Location. Be sure to turn your lights ON before you delete them from the app. After deleting from the app, your lights will blink three times when they have been reset. If they do not blink, you will need to Factory Reset them. For help with factory resetting C by GE lights, go to the Support pages in the C by GE app.

Will I need more than one C-Reach to control all of the lights in my home?

The C-Reach can control up to 32 C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights at a time. If you have more than 32 lights in your house, we recommend getting more than one C-Reach for the best experience. 

You can only have one C-Reach per Cync App location. If you have more than 32 C by GE Bluetooth Smart Lights and require a second C-Reach, you will need to create a second Cync App location for the additional C-Reach and C by GE Bluetooth Lights. 

I have Cync/C by GE Bluetooth Lights already connected to the Cync app. How do I connect them to the C-Reach?

You must add a C-Reach into your app home before adding any lights. If you setup your lights in the Cync app first, you must delete them from your app home. Make sure they are factory reset (they should blink after deleting). Next, setup the C-Reach in the empty home, followed by your lights.
