There are two options when deciding how you want to set up and control your Cync devices with Alexa.

Works with Alexa requires the use of the Cync app to pair devices with Alexa. This method is compatible with all Cync and C by GE devices (excluding wire-free devices).

Frustration Free Setup allows you to pair Cync devices directly to the Alexa app without the use of the Cync app. Frustration Free Setup is only compatible with Cync Light Bulbs, Light Strips, and the Indoor Plug.
