Reset Process Cync Bluetooth Light Strips - Pre 2020

If you purchased a Bluetooth Light Strip prior to 2020, you will need to reset your light strip with the Reset Timing Sequence. To do this, make sure your light strip is plugged into an outlet. Then unplug and re-plug the control box, following the Reset Timing Sequence described below. Alternatively, you may also reset your light strip with the Reset Timing Sequence using a surge protector. Plug the light strip into a surge protector. Use the on/off button to control your light strip, following the Reset Timing Sequence.

Reset Timing Sequence

1. Start with the light strip plugged in and OFF for at least 5 seconds.
2. Turn the strip ON for 8 seconds, then OFF for 2 seconds. Do this 5 times.
3. Once the light strip flashes 3 times, the strip has been reset.

Reset Process for all Cync Light Strips

If you purchased a Bluetooth Light Strip in 2020, a Direct Connect Light Strip, or Dynamic Effects Indoor/Outdoor Light Strip, you will have a factory reset button on the control box of the strip.

1. Identify the ON/OFF Button on your model of slight switch. See images below.
2. Plug in the light strip and turn the strip ON.
3. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 10 seconds.
4. Once the light strip flashes, the strip has been reset.
