Helpful Hints
- Ceiling Fan Smart Switches are only for use with pull chain residential fans. They must be set on the highest setting to be controlled properly.
- The ceiling fan connected to the Fan Smart Switch must not exceed 80W.
- Both a neutral and ground wire are required to properly install and control your Ceiling Fan Smart Switch.
Troubleshooting Tips
Your switch is not in setup mode if the LED light on your switch is not flashing blue after you've installed it. This means you will not be able to connect it to the Cync app. If the LED light did not turn on, here are some common solutions:
- Confirm the breaker is on.
- Check that the switch is wired correctly.
- If the fan switch is not set up in the Cync app in the first 10 minutes after being powered on, then it will exit setup mode and no longer blink blue. To re-enter setup mode, hold the on/off button on the switch for 10 seconds until the switch is blinking blue.
Fan is operating very slowly.
Make sure the fan is set to its highest setting available through the physical pull chain.
