Motion Settings
These settings can help optimize the Cync Motion Sensor to meet the needs of your smart home.
Sensor Settings
Enabled
- Allows the user to enable or disable the motion sensor and all of its capabilities.
Motion Sensitivity
- Sets the sensitivity for triggering your motion sensor.
- A higher sensitivity will trigger the motion sensor more easily and turn your lights on more often.
- A lower sensitivity will require greater motion for the sensor to turn on your lights.
Ambient Light Sensitivity
- When Ambient Light Sensor is enabled, it will detect how much light is already in the room to ensure your lights only turn on when there isn't enough light already in the room.
- Threshold Enabled: Enable or disable the Ambient Light Threshold.
- Sensitivity: Select how much light needs to be in the room to prevent motion from triggering your lights.
Motion Detection Settings
All smart devices assigned to the same room or group will follow these settings when motion is detected.
Timeout Period
- This begins immediately after the motion sensor stops detecting movement. After this time expires your lights will turn off automatically.
- Timeout Period ranges from 10 seconds to 30 minutes.
Deactivation Period
- Determines how long your sensor will be disabled after you manually turn off your lights.
- Deactivation Period ranges from 10 seconds to 30 minutes.
Edit Device Schedule
Allows the user to set up a specific schedule for certain times of the day. The following settings are included in the scheduling.
- Timeslot Enabled: The motion sensor response will change automatically when the next response time period begins.
- Simple Mode: In this mode, any devices triggered by the motion sensor will be turned on to what they were last set to.
- Start: Changing the start time for this schedule may auto-adjust other schedules.
- Brightness: Adjusts the brightness for the lights in this room or group, for this schedule. Depending on the device being controlled some lights may not be able to adjust brightness.
- Color Temperature: Adjusts the color temperature for the lights in this room or group, for this schedule. Depending on the device being controlled some lights may not be able to adjust temperature.
